Amphitheater work crew (2015)
The Friends are all about providing funds, labor and other support for projects that continually improve the visitor experience at Mirror Lake and Rocky Arbor State Parks. We are grateful for the many like-minded organizations that we continue partnering with to accomplish this work. Among these groups are Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Friends of Wisconsin State Parks, Delton Sportsman Club, Ho Chunk Nation, Seth Peterson Conservancy, Ishnala Supper Club, Dells Water Sports, Mirror Lake Association, Boy Scouts and many other local businesses and community groups.
Here’s just some of the projects we’ve completed or continue to work on:
- We built woodsheds, picnic shelters, and playgrounds.
- We funded and worked on the Amphitheater renovation
- We renovated the Accessible Cabin
- We raise funds yearly to maintain and make improvements to the trails
- We create and install interpretive signs
- We refurbish picnic tables
- We replace and maintain fire rings
